For whom is magnetic resonance tomography not suitable?Magnetic resonance tomography involves no risks at all if the precautionary measures described below are complied with. During the examination metal parts that are worn in or on the body can change their position uncontrolled due to the magnetic forces and thus become a danger. The function of cardiac pacemakers can also be impaired. Loose metal parts are attracted by the device!!! For your own safety: Remove all metallic objects that you wear on your body before entering the examination room: dentures, spectacles, hearing aids, watch, hairpins, safety pins, purse, ballpoint pen, earrings, jewellery, belts and magnetic cards of every type (they will be deleted!). Pregnant women, wearers of cardiac pacemakers as well as freshly operated clients with prostheses may not be examined with the aid of magnetic resonance tomography. |
