The cardiological examinations

"Putting your hand on your heart" has for a long time not been sufficient for a modern diagnosis.

Especially for the heart, the central circulatory organ of our body, there are today very extensive early detection methods that can detect life-threatening diseases in good time and thus can minimise the individual risk of a heart attack.

For this reason cardiological examinations are high on the list of priorities at ProHealth.

They are able to acquire all essential cardiovascular diseases and especially to estimate the individual risk of a heart attack.

In principle we can perform the following cardiovascular examinations for you:

  1. Anamnesis (recording the case history) with analysis of the individual risk factors
  2. Internal medically / cardiologically oriented physical examination
  3. Resting ECG
  4. Exercise ECG with analysis
    - of the cardiac rhythm
    - of the blood pressure condition during exercise
    - of the heart rate condition during exercise
    - of possible cardiac dysrhythmia during exercise
    - of the blood circulation reserve of the coronary vessels
  5. Colour Doppler echocardiography (cardiac ultrasound)
  6. Analysis of the blood pressure condition in rest and under load conditions
  7. Lung function test
  8. Spiroergometry (analysis of the performance of the cardiovascular system with measurement of the maximum oxygen absorption capacity)
  9. Colour duplex sonography of the extracranial brain-supplying vessels (vascular ultrasound of the neck arteries)
  10. Body composition analysis (determination of the relative percentage of body fat)
  11. Determination of the body mass index (analysis of possible overweight)
  12. PROCAM risk score (determination of the individual risk of a heart attack)

If necessary, further examinations can be performed depending on the results of these cardiological examinations:

  1. Determination of coronary vessel calcification (calcium score)
  2. 3-dimensional computed tomography of the coronary arteries (non-invasive coronary vessel display or cardiac catheter technique)
