Lung function testThe functional capacity of the organ of the lungs decisively influences the functional capacity of the entire cardiovascular system. The lung function test (spirometry) is a medical procedure for measuring and for recording the lung and tidal volumes. Apart from the analysis of the entire lung capacity, one receives essential information about possible disturbances of the pulmonary function, whether it is constrictions of the respiratory system (e.g. bronchial asthma, obstructive bronchitis) or lung scarring (e.g. pulmonary fibrosis). |
